For the price, it seems to be a nice jacket. It is continuing to be rather comfortable and I am still happy with the purchase. I have been on a number of other rides since posting this and I am finding no restriction of movement. I think with all the liners out and fully opened, this jacket will work fine in hot weather. The back does the same but it is much larger. The two front zippers open and you can fold down a large flap either partly or all the way. It has not been hot here yet but it looks like it will vent great. I pulled measurements on myself by the chart they provide and went with a medium. I would say it fits just like the size chart. No complaints at all wearing it on the outside. The second two days of that trip, it was colder and wet so I used it as an outer shell. On my first day of that three-day ride, it was warmer and sunny so I did not have it in. The Drystar liner fit over the outside of the jacket perfectly. Sorry guys, I have not been back here in a bit and did not realize there were replies to this post. Overall I am pretty happy with it and if you are looking for a $400 jacket, plus your choice of back pad, it seems like a decent one to consider. The other armor that comes with the jacket felt nice and stayed in place. I did put an Alpinestars back pad in it because it does not come with one. The last time I rode with it, it did not seem as bad. The neck area had one spot that was bothering me but that may have been because of my beard and not really any fault of the jacket. Pockets carried my belongings with room to spare. I feel like when it gets hot and the inner liner is removed, this jacket will flow air very well when it is completely opened up. The jacket was flowing air nicely and was very comfortable. Opened the front and back zippers and that is it. I have ridden with it in the upper 70's as well with the liner in and a long sleeve shirt. The jacket itself did a good job in those conditions and I feel like if had had al little more on under the jacket, I would have not been chilly at all. ![]() ![]() I was a little chilly but that was my fault for not wearing more layers. Only had one short sleeve shirt and one long sleeve shirt under the jacket riding a Scrambler on all backroads. On the 45 to 50-degree days, I used the removable Drystar liner as an outer rain jacket and to help cut the wind. The first 850 miles were on a three-day ride with varying weather conditions from 45 degrees and wet to low 70s and sun. So I now have a little over 1,000 miles of riding on the jacket. Thought I would do a quick review on the Alpinestars Bogota Pro Drystar Jacket because when I took a chance and ordered, I could not find a single review on it.
